Fans of the animated FX series Archer should check out Pacific Heat, an upcoming Australian sitcom that echoes some of that earlier program’s comedy and animation.
Co-created by Rob Sitch, Santo Cilauro, and Tom Gleisner, the Working Dog Productions series is being picked up by Netflix.
Pacific Heat is set on Australia’s beautiful (albeit animated here) Gold Coast. What Archer did for James Bond, Pacific Heat appears to be the Miami Vice equivalent.
According to Neflix, the show centers on a covert squad of operatives short on smarts but long on confidence which tackles crime on the glitzy Gold Coast of Australia.
The series will initially consist of thirteen episodes, all of which stream on Netflix December 2, 2017.
