Stephen King’s ‘The Mist’ returns as TV show

Stephen King’s 1980 novella, The Mist, is making it’s way back to a screen near you — a small screen.

Spike TV has ordered up a new series for fans of the horror franchise that won’t die, which was made into a motion picture in 2007.

Here’s a first look at the trailer:

All I can say is…stay out of the effing mist!

According to the cable net, The Mist centers around a small town family torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout, an eerie mist rolls in, cutting them off from the rest of the world and, in some cases, each other.

This adaptation of the sci-fi horror story stars Frances Conroy, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Darren Pettie, Alyssa Sutherland, and Morgan Spector.

Created by Christian Thorpe, produced by Guy J. Louthan and Amanda Segel for Dimension Television, Spike picked up the pilot, directed Emmy winner Adam Bernstein, in February 2016 and later ordered up the 10-episode series.

The Mist premieres June 22, 2017 at 10 p.m. on Spike TV.
